“The internet is not a luxury, it is a necessity.”
— President Barack Obama
The Digital Divide is that gap that exists between those that have access to internet, technology, and the digital literacy needed to just keep up, and those that don't.
My mission is to serve as a conduit between innovative solutions and those organizations and communities that need it the most – willing to go into areas reeling by the pandemic to build a bridge over the Digital Divide
Driving Innovation is hosted by Ivory Robinson, an Innovator and an Activist for Digital Equity.
“I grew up on the wrong side of the digital divide and it was gaining access to technology that closed that gap.”
Why me?
“Technology and innovation shouldn’t be so confusing and complex that it becomes unavailable to those that need it.”
Experience.
I've spent the last 20 years of my life architecting, designing, and delivering multi-million dollar IT solutions across the federal government, education systems, healthcare organizations, municipalities, social impact agencies, and financial institutions across the country.
Community
I barely graduated high school growing up on the wrong side of the divide. It wasn’t until I joined the Air Force that I was introduced to technology. My passion and commitment to ensuring digital equity comes from understanding what lies ahead for millions of Americans if they do not gain the access that they need to keep up.

Why now?
Digital Equity is a condition in which all individuals and communities have the information technology capacity needed for full participation in our society, democracy and economy. The United States has struggled in recent years to ensure it exists with the lack of infrastructure and the funding or required skillsets needed to build. Especially in low income urban areas, and rural communities.
Now, the COVID-19 crisis has not only exacerbated this Digital Divide that exists between the have’s and the have not’s and brought about years of change in the way governments, schools, and companies in all sectors and regions do business.
Educators & Students
Are being forced back into the classroom while still trying to pivot to support the post COVID landscape securely and efficiently to a new remote-first culture.
Businesses
Must constantly keep up with changing technology landscape but often lack viable strategy, reliable technology, and/or the organizational alignment to be successful.
Communities
Have no way to find innovative technical solutions or the resources needed to implement and manage, specially in less populated regions
How will we do IT?

How can you Help?
The Digital Divide is going to take more than one man driving across the country, it’s going to take capital. With no end date for this journey set, raising funds will be paramount to its success. In addition to accepting donations, there are also opportunities to sponsor directly.
